“The idea for Dan’s Steaks came about during Phase 1 of Singapore’s Circuit Breaker period. He began preparing and serving delicious sous vide steaks seared to perfection, to be shared. These large, delicious 1.2kg-steaks, complemented with sides and condiments, became a fast hit, selling out daily. It got to a point where fans would be on a one-month waitlist. With his Instagram following growing and customers raving about the flavours, sides and condiments, Dan knew he had something great on his hands.
When he stopped the endeavour in October 2020, he received hundreds of messages expressing their disappointment and asking that he start a restaurant so he could continue to sear and deliver his steaks.
